A wave of rugged, low-power inference devices designed by veteran-founded startups is moving compute to where the work happens — warehouses, disaster zones, fleet vehicles, and forward operating positions.

The common thread: founders who spent careers operating in degraded-bandwidth environments and refused to accept cloud-only architectures as the default.

Early customers include FEMA contractors, port operators, and Tier-1 logistics providers retrofitting last-mile fleets with on-device routing models.
