VVM Legacy
Review in a new window ↗A small, senior team that turns a lifetime of service and building into books, podcasts, films, and frameworks worth handing down.
Founded by people who had to tell their own story first

Luke Medvegy
Luke Medvegy is the Owner, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief of Valor & Ventures Media; Owner of Business Navigators Consulting; and Founder of the Veteran Coaching Network.
He hosts the podcast Strategy Unlocked, where he helps veterans and entrepreneurs unlock their business strategy, share growth hacks, and reveal their secret sauce to propel our members forward.
An independent, veteran-led house
Valor & Ventures Media is an independent, veteran-led media platform covering leadership, business, defense tech, health, and the operators who shape all of it. VVM Legacy is the arm of that house dedicated to one family, one founder, or one unit at a time — the same reporters, editors, producers and coaches, pointed at a single life rather than a daily wire.
The company is independently owned and operated from Indianapolis, Indiana. We answer to readers, members, and our contributors — in that order.
Who does the work
VVM leverages an iron-clad ecosystem: we partner with the Veteran Coaching Network to build bespoke coaching programs, and with Business Navigators to build websites and email CRMs that support authors telling their stories.
That means a Legacy engagement can move from interview to manuscript to podcast, film, site and coaching debrief without ever leaving the building.
Our values
The story is theirs
Nothing is published without principal sign-off, and every engagement runs under an NDA. You keep the final word on what the world reads.
Named, sourced, corrected
Every piece of work carries a named byline and a source trail. When we get something wrong, we correct it inside 24 hours.
Service first, sales second
Editorial decisions are made independent of advertising and partnerships, and sponsored work is always labeled as such.
We pay the people who make it
Writers, producers and coaches on a Legacy project are paid contributors, not volunteers trading work for exposure.
How we work
- Two-hour intake with the principal and VVM editorial lead.
- Field interviews, archive review, and family conversations.
- Outline approval before any draft is written.
- Quarterly review milestones with named owners.
- Delivery — printed, recorded, and digitally archived.
Discretion by default
Every engagement runs under an NDA. Nothing is published without principal sign-off.
